What is Technical Translation

According to one definition, "technical translation is the translation of technical writing (owner's manuals, user guides, etc.), or more specifically, texts that contain a high amount of terminology, that is, words or phrases that are virtually used only within a specific profession, or describe that profession in great detail". (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Technical_translation)

However, technical translation is much more than that: It takes a whole team of specialized people, the application of specific methodologies and quality assurance policies, the use of the latest technologies and tools and, perhaps more importantly, years of valuable experience and expertise, to produce a successfully localized product.

With 22 years of experience as a leading provider of software localization and technical translations for the Greek market, ORCO has developed and provides a complete range of professional services encompassing the whole lifecycle of localized products.

Language Combinations

ORCO specializes in translation projects from several languages into Greek and vice-versa (English, German, French, Italian, Spanish etc). With Greek being our native language, we are able to deliver top quality translation & localization services.

However, this by no means restricts our work only on Greek projects. Based on an experienced internal translation team and longstanding co-operation with external freelancers and subcontractors all over the world, our Translation Services cover all official European Union languages, as well as Balkan and Middle East languages – Croatian, Serbian, Albanian, Turkish, Arabic, Hebrew – and many others.
